As a versatile play-by-play broadcaster, host and storyteller at App State, I aim to combine preparation, professionalism, and personality to bring fans closer to the moments and the people that make sports memorable. Below is a selection of my work. I think you’ll find that I am uniquely equipped to hit the ground running and help tell the story of a new era of Texas State athletics.

Here are some of my favorite moments from the 2025-26 App State basketball season.

App State closed out the 2025-26 regular season with a memorable victory over Georgia Southern on senior day. After a slow start, the Mountaineers seized the momentum with a thrilling first-half scoring run, captured in the unedited play-by-play stretch below.

The most thrilling broadcast from my time at App State came when the Mountaineers upset Auburn at home in December of 2023. In the cinematic recap below you can here how I set the stage in the pregame show and captured the signature plays down the stretch in the historic win.

While my contributions to the App State football broadcasts have come in my role as the sideline reporter the last two seasons, I served as the football play-by-play broadcaster for the Davidson Wildcats’ 2021 football season. I also had the opportunity to join App State and NFL alum Doug Middleton in the broadcast booth for a demo game in 2023.

In addition to my play-by-play duties, I host App State’s weekly coaches show, Mountaineer Talk, hosted live at Rivers Street Ale House in Boone. I strive to humanize the show as much as possible. At 8:38 you can hear my conversation with Feryal Defne Atli about her love for Legos and at 35:03 I talk with Kasen Jennings about his journey to Boone and becoming a leader on a new team.

I firmly believe that radio broadcasts still have significant value – to fans, to programs, to sponsors. I also recognize that the way people consume content has changed and it’s incumbent on me to reach them where they are and to seize the opportunity to give broadcasts a longer shelf life. For the past four years I have produced a rewind podcast after every football and men’s basketball game. These are released as digestible 15-25 minute episodes featuring interviews, highlights and analysis – perfect for fans to listen to at breakfast or on their drive to work the day after the game.

Not only do I believe that it’s my duty to paint the picture in my play-by-play calls, but also to connect fans with the players and coaches that they root for. Below is a get-to-know video with App State tight ends coach Ryan Yuracheck.

What I find most rewarding is when I’m able to build relationships with the players and coaches that I cover. It’s even more special when I’m able to tell stories about who they are as people off the field/court. Below are two of my favorite features – an interview with men’s basketball forward Michael Marcus Jr. who connects musical rhythm with basketball movements and a story of baseball assistant coach Britt Johnson’s twin sons, who got the opportunity to be the bat boys in 2026.

Thank you for taking time to review my work. I would be an honor to be considered to be the next play-by-play voice of Texas State. I’ll be ready to call a win in Austin on September 5th!
